Society of Extension Education GujaratAbstract: PMFBY aims to provide insurance coverage and financial support to the farmers which has been piloted in the country since the kharif season of June 2016. It was implemented only in 14 states of India, which are most affected by weather calamities. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana operates on the concept of "Area Approach". The present study was conducted in Jaipur and Jodhpur division of Rajasthan and total of 320 farmer respondents were selected. The result of the study revealed that 45.94 per cent had medium knowledge, Whereas, 24.69 per cent of total farmers had high knowledge, 14.06 per cent had low knowledge, 11.56 per cent had very high knowledge and 3.75 per cent farmers possessed very low knowledge about Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
